The scope of this project was to design a poster for a social issue of my choosing. For this project, I chose to create a poster on industrial pollution. The poster uses a 1960s retro-futurism style, but is set in a dystopian setting where the emissions from industrial pollution creates an unlivable world. Retro-futurism uses the word “tomorrow” to refer to the possible future, so I used it as a negative connotation saying that the future we are creating is bad. The goal of this poster is to have people become more aware of the harmful impacts industrial pollution has on the world and demand change to our Clean Air Act.
